Spring Volksmarch

Join us for a German tradition as we walk the Amana Colonies Recreational Trail around the Lily Lake. Rain or shine, we’d like to invite you to join us for a hike through nature here in the Amana Colonies. A map and brochure will be available at the Amana Colonies Visitors Center in Main Amana. You are welcome to begin your walk at any time during the day, and you can take any route around the trail; the longest route comes in just under 5 miles, and there are two shorter routes around the Lily Lake as well. While enjoying the Spring Volksmarch, please be respectful of others and of the environment. Please do not litter on the trails. Trash bins can be found at the Lily Lake Park Shelter, and at the Trail Head near Millstream Brewery. There are also several trash bins throughout the town of Main Amana. Make sure to pick up after your picnic.
