The Herbert Hoover Museum in West Branch features the birthplace of the 31st President of the United States and just about 1 hour & 1/2 from Amana, is the world famous American Pickers store in Le Claire, Iowa! The National Czech & Slovak Museum and the African American Museum of Iowa are only 30 minutes away in Cedar Rapids and offer a unique glimpse into their cultures.

How about those Hawkeyes? We are great spot for those fans who want to stay close to Iowa City, but far enough away to enjoy a quiet, relaxed camping experience. Unlike hotels close to the action, we don’t have a two-night minimum for most home game weekends and offer a very affordable site rate! The Cedar Rapids Kernels is minor league baseball team that offers exciting games and fun activities for kids and adults.

Being in the heartland, we’re surrounded by some of the most famous agricultural brands in the world like John Deere and Kinze Manufacturing. A popular trip among campers is visiting the John Deere Tractor Assembly Plant in Waterloo for a tour or stopping by the brand new Kinze Innovation Center that features the world’s first grain cart and many other exciting farm equipment.

If you swing through the Amana RV Park during your summer camping trip, how about staying a few more days and visiting Iowa’s best amusement park in Altoona, Iowa; Adventureland! Or take a short drive to Coralville and visit the amazing Iowa Children’s Museum with many interactive activities. Lost Island Waterpark is always a fun stop, and only about 1 hour 1/2 from Amana.
